I can't wait for this product to be released.  I feel like this could be the answer.  I exercise and maintain a fairly healthy diet but it seems I need a big push these days....How does everyone else feel who is over 30 years old?

Are they still picking for the study? My husband took the orlist a few years ago. It work for him but, he didn't follow the low fat plan. And had very bad side effects.
I can't wait to try it.

I took Xenical a few years back combined with the South Beach diet and lost about 40 pounds. It returned when I stopped both the pill and the diet plan. I have been back on both for two weeks now and at 47 years of age, I am noticing the ability to lose weight slows drastically with each year! I lost 5 pounds the first week and nothing the second week. I do have a body fat monitor scale and those numbers indicate that I am losing body fat-just not weight!

I took Xenical for about two months.. The side effects were not great but it did get my in the habit of changing my diet. I have lost a total of 35lbs to date. It has taken me about 6 months but with the use of  Xenical I now have changed the way I eat. I have to say the weight loss has been slow but I have done it without setting one foot in the gym.

I agree!!! This could be the answer, but it is not a miracle pill. This will force those of us and I say us because I am the biggest cheater of diets. It will force us to stay within a low fat system. If you don't there will be some ugly and unwanted side effects. Who wants loose stools? I can not wait til this comes out.

Has anyone out there preordered Alli yet? I did a google search and found it available at drugstore.com. I went to the Rite Aid store down the street and couldn't find anything in their diet section. I'm wondering if its better to wait until it's out or get an order in now.

I have been on the Alli study since April 21st, and I have lost 11lbs, the product is great, but it is more of a life change than a quick fix, I highly reccomend it, it is based on eatting no more than 15 fat grams per meal, I have not had any side effects Alli calles then treatment effects.

It is driving me CRAZY not being able to find a store that even knows what I a talking about!! I called HyVee in my local area and spoke with the pharmacist that does all the ordering, in their warehouse all their orders are still showing 0. That means they haven't even been able to place their orders yet. Does that mean it won't be available or that maybe some stores will get it and others will not? I am VERY ANXIOUS! I do not want to preoder on the internet, I want to do this right. Anyone know of a store that is going to be getting it?

Hi all:

Our local news just did a piece on Alli and the report was decidedly underwhelming. I have to wonder if any of them ever had a weight problem (they didn't look like they did), or if they understood how hard it is for some of us to lose weight (me for one).

Anyway, it goes on sale here tomorrow and I have promised myself I will try it for a month, along with exercise and healthy, low-fat meals.

Has anyone on this forum heard about the effect Alli has on those who take Pravastatin?

Thanks, and good luck to those who try it with me.

Just to let everyone know....My local Costco in Northern California has recieved a whole pallet of Alli. I didn't check the price, but its got to be good if its at Costco. You should try calling your local costco if you are having trouble finding it. Also, anyone(including non-members) can purchase Alli from Costco.com.

I got mine today at Walmart but Walgreens also had them.  I was excited about trying them until I read all the negative stuff on the internet, now I'm a little worried.

What negatives have you heard about? So far the only negative I have heard is from eating too much fat. Which i think is good think if the idea is to lose weight. It also gives you a really good reason to have willpower.

I have been using prescription xenical since May 11. I have lost about 17 pounds. I don't have any side effects unless I eat a high fat meal, which has happened twice. The side affects were uncomfortable, so taking this is a good deterrent. I haven't counted calories, only fat percentages in what I'm eating. Whatever the reason, it's working well.

I was thinking of trying it out too.  Did anyone get any results already?   Just wondering.
